Job Description
A private company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will support the finance department in managing accounting tasks and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in conducting financial analysis and variance reporting.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Assist in preparing and filing tax returns and compliance documents.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations is a plus.
