Shawarma Chef Jobs

Grandiose Supermarket LLC is hiring Shawarma Chefs and Grill Chefs in Abu Dhabi and Dubai for its Food Avenue section. The role involves preparing and cooking fresh shawarma and grilled food while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, product quality, and customer service.

Job Responsibilities

Customer Service

1. Welcome customers and assist them with their orders.
2. Explain shawarma options, ingredients, and customization choices.
3. Take orders accurately and prepare them on time.
4. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.

Shawarma and Grill Preparation

1. Slice and prepare chicken, beef, or lamb shawarma according to recipes and customer preferences.
2. Prepare shawarma sandwiches and plates with proper presentation.
3. Monitor cooking temperatures and cooking times to ensure food is properly cooked.
4. Keep the shawarma station clean and organized throughout the shift.
5. Follow food safety procedures during food preparation and cooking.

Stock and Inventory

1. Monitor stocks of meat, bread, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients.
2. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and suitable for use.
3. Rotate stock regularly to minimize food waste.
4. Inform the supervisor about stock requirements and replenishment needs.

Sales and Promotions

1. Promote daily specials, combos, and new shawarma products.
2. Recommend beverages, side dishes, and desserts to customers.
3. Maintain an attractive and organized shawarma display.

Health and Safety

1. Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
2. Keep the shawarma preparation area, equipment, and utensils clean.
3. Follow proper cleaning and sanitization procedures.
4. Report safety concerns or equipment problems to the supervisor immediately.

Teamwork

1. Work with the Fresh Food and Prepared Meals teams to ensure smooth operations.
2. Assist in other food preparation or customer service areas when required.
3. Communicate with the supervisor regarding stock, customer preferences, and section issues.

Requirements

1. 2 to 3 years of experience as a Shawarma Chef, preferably with Syrian shawarma expertise.
2. Alternatively, 2 to 3 years of experience as a Grill Chef with Arabic grill and BBQ experience.
3. Syrian shawarma experience is preferred.
4. Basic English communication skills.
5. Ability to work as part of a team and follow food safety and hygiene standards.

Salary and Benefits

Monthly salary: AED 3,200 to AED 3,500.
