The Senior Commissary Manager will oversee product preparations across several countries, ensuring efficient production, high-quality standards, and optimal resource management.
Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
- Manage daily operations and delivery across all facilities
- Ensure production schedules are met efficiently and safely
- Assure product quality complies with standards
Team Leadership:
- Hire, train, and supervise staff across all facilities
- Lead the production manager in each unit to comply with standards
- Develop a diverse team of production staff across all locations
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration
Quality Assurance & HSE:
- Implement and maintain quality control measures and food safety protocols
- Monitor compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- Manage the team to conduct regular audits and inspections of all locations to ensure compliance with standards
- Ensure OHSE compliance across all facilities
Process Improvement:
- Lead teams to analyze production processes, identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with teams to optimize workflows and reduce waste
Budget and Cost Control
- Develop and manage the facility’s budget.
- Monitor expenses and optimize resource allocation for all facilities
On Time Delivery:
- Ensure each facility delivers products on time on daily basis
Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of production, quality control and safety audits
- Prepare and present operational reports to upper management on performance metrics
- Utilize data analysis to make informed decisions and drive improvements
Crisis Management:
- Develop and implement contingency plans for emergencies or production disruptions.
Experience:
- University degree in mechanical engineering, food technology, process engineering, operation management, or similar
- Mandatory minimum 10+ years experience in food production; preferability with poultry production; at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in quality control, managing budget, and production costing
- Advantage with GFSI or related lead auditor experience
- Starting up of new facilities and factory experience
