Job Details

The Order Fulfillment Specialist supports end-to-end order execution by managing stock allocations, monitoring order flow, and proactively addressing fulfillment risks that could impact customer service. This role applies business rules, customer priorities, and cross-functional guidance to align product availability with commercial strategies and service commitments. The Specialist partners with Customer Service, Demand and Supply Planning, Deployment, Logistics, and Commercial teams to resolve issues, reduce out-of-stock risk, and communicate timely actions that support customer expectations, business objectives, and operational efficiency.

Location Preference: This role is primarily remote; however, candidates located on Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey & Conneticut) are strongly preferred to support in-person trainings, meetings, and other business needs.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Demand and Allocation Management

  • Manage key order fulfillment and allocation parameters, including ATP scope of check, sales order horizon, and related system settings, in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Execute allocation strategies from the Operational Demand and Supply Review process to prioritize inventory based on business needs, customer requirements, and service objectives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for order fulfillment issue resolution, partnering closely with Commercial and Supply Chain teams.
  • Support cross-functional projects that identify and implement process improvements in order fulfillment.
  • Leverage SAP/GLOBE capabilities to support and automate allocation activities, reduce out-of-stock risk, and manage supply constraints across key business scenarios, including short supply, promotions, new item launches, seasonal items, discontinued items, and price or pack changes.
  • Identify fulfillment risks and execute mitigation actions using reservations, allocations, BOPI, DMC, and other relevant system functionality; escalate to cross-functional partners when additional support or decision-making is required.
  • Communicate potential shortages, order risks, and required customer-facing actions to Customer Solutions partners to support timely issue resolution and customer communication.
  • Ensure timely delivery note creation and accurate root cause assignment for unconfirmed or cut order lines to support reporting accuracy, service visibility, and continuous improvement.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Transportation, Warehouse, Customer Service, Deployment, Supply Planning, and other stakeholders to resolve order fulfillment issues and support timely delivery execution.
  • Participate in operational reviews by monitoring key performance indicators, health checks, and service trends to identify risks, track progress, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen order fulfillment processes, improve root cause visibility, enhance system usage, and drive efficiency with cross-functional partners and business process leads.

 

Experience & Education Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Order Fulfillment, Order Management, Customer Service, Logistics, Distribution, Inventory Management, or a related Supply Chain function.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and order management processes preferred.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional supply chain operations preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end order fulfillment, with the ability to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Proficiency using technology and tools to support daily order fulfillment activities, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Office applications, and ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret order data, monitor trends, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence and timely issue resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail with minimal supervision.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and influence across functions to support business objectives.

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $56,000- $75,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
